Wayment Mfg - A Company Built on Customization
In 1996, I Decided to Turn a Big Idea Into Reality
I’d been dreaming about starting my own business for years, so when I saw a growing need for custom machining in southern Idaho, I left my employment of 25 years to take advantage of an opportunity to build something great. With the support of my wife, Darlene, and a full partner, I bought two antique CNC (Computer Numeric Controlled) mills and began machining steel parts for a small machine tool invented by Acme Manufacturing Inc. Through word of mouth and good-old-fashioned hard work, Wayment Mfg began acquiring other business in R&D, prototyping and small-run manufacturing. Many of those “small” runs have grown into large-scale production runs of the very products Wayment Mfg helped customers develop.
In July of 1998, Darlene and I took our partner up on his offer to sell his half of the company, and since then we’ve been sole owners of a growing business.
Now, my team and I at Wayment Mfg work hard to keep the company’s inaugural idea alive – the idea that with hard work, ingenuity, and the right attitude, people can turn big dreams into reality. It’s the foundation for everything we do as we work to help individuals and businesses take their ideas from inception to finished product. And, Wayment Mfg is always happy to continue manufacturing those finished products, but we are just as happy to produce a single prototype – it only depends on the customer’s needs and wants.
Wayment Mfg’s cutting-edge line-up of machines includes CNC mills, CNC lathes, CNC waterjet cutting, hot presses, and laser engravers. With such a powerful tool inventory, we can produce custom work at the top of the industry standard. We have even been willing to expand our tool inventory to fit the needs of our customers! Furthermore, Wayment Mfg’s ability to produce custom design work and CNC machining is greatly enhanced by our use of Mastercam software, allowing us to seamlessly transition from Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) to Computer-Aided Machining (CAM).
At Wayment Mfg, we take pride in our accuracy, flexibility, and on-time delivery. But most of all, we pride ourselves on our ability to convert a customer’s idea into a high-quality finished product. You dream it up, we’ll make it a reality!
Best Regards,
